Burning Strong wasn't around for very long. I never saw them but this practice tape is awesome. Remember getting together to practice with your friends, hooking up that boom box radio to record and then listening back and it sounded awful? Yeah...this isn't case. This sounds pretty damn good (not studio quality) for a tape recording. The band featured future Bird of Ill Omen member Tom as well as "Fed Up" Frank who wrote Fed Up zine in the early 90s. Like I said, I don't know a whole lot about them but these songs are real good. The band eventually changed their name to Stonecast before starting Bird of Ill Omen. Members were in and went on to Bird of Ill Omen, Salem, As Friends Rust and Dead Mens Theory

(By the way a then unknown band called HATEBREED was booked but never made it down...we're talking like 95, who the fuck knew who they were.)

La Vieja Guardia CD Release!!!

La Vieja Guardia, Frank from Burning Strong's band with members of Mehkago NT, are releasing a CD on Oct. 7. They'll be playing a CD Release Show at Churchills on Oct. 25th so if you can go out to that, go and support. Great band and great guys. We'll have a full feature on them soon

La Vieja Guardia (L.V.G)

L.V.G recently broke up but luckily they released a Self Titled CD on I SCREAM Records. L.V.G was a 90's style hardcore band with a Spanish lyrical point of view of the Miami Cuban. Members of Burning Strong, DNME, MEHKAGO N.T. and SPEAK. They had that 90's "revival" sound but kept it pretty original. I personally think they were one of the best Miami Hardcore bands... Not only does my hair stick up every time I listen to them but seeing them live truly brought me back in time. This band was full of energy and nothing but heart.

This is the only release by this band… Wish I could have heard more.
