Notes From The South
Awesome 7 inch comp that was released by Youth Bus Records in 1991 or 1992. This comp featured some bands that were making waves in South Florida at that time: The Believers, Hangman (featuring Stan Obal of Timescape Zero, Culture, and King 7 and the Soulsonics), Beyond Reason (featuring Jason Lederman of Where Fear and Weapons Meet and Machine), and Ego-Trip (featuring Rich Thurston of Culture and Terror). Also noted is Old School John in the white shirt on the cover. He was a constant fixture at shows from 1988 to 1997 when he moved to Orlando. I havent seen him in years...hope hes doing alright.

I actually saw John in Orlando when STF played up there with the risk taken. He even old school DANCED on some fools. Shit was spiritual.
Hey, awesome blog! I sang in Hangman and it's cool to see you doing a South Florida hardcore project like this.
When you say the guy in the white shirt as Old School John, you don't mean the dude floating on the cover do you? That's Marcus Green (a tattooed lawyer now).
Thanks great post
