Poison The Well

City: Ft. Lauderdale
Years Active: 1997 - Present
Type of Music: Hardcore
Myspace or Website: http://www.myspace.com/poisonthewell

Poison the Well became the biggest thing in South Florida and, at one point, the biggest thing in hardcore. Taking a sound that was hardcore and metal but with lots of melody plus screaming/singing vocals, PTW were one of the originals to do this style and do it well. Often imitated but never duplicated, they continue on playing a style that is still true to their original sound but with something more. They were originally called An Acre Lost and had more bass players than you can possibly imagine. Members were in and went on to Last Minute, Dance Floor Justice, Where Fear and Weapons Meet, Defy, The Rocking Horse Winner, Until The End, Foolproof, A Jealousy Issue, and All Hell Breaks Loose.
